Benefits of using Mayday
Community Benefit
Mayday understands the impact it has on the local communities within which it operates.
Therefore we undertake to ensure that:
- Local people will be treated with dignity and respect
- Local people will have access to employment through Mayday’s already embedded process of local recruitment
Mayday works hard to train those who are new to care and help them gain the skills needed for the health and social care sector. We are able to offer advice and support on a wide range of employment paths, not only within the care industry but including office administration, domestics, housekeeping. Mayday has been very successful within the areas in which we currently operate in assisting local people in their career in health and social care and providing those suitable with an advancing career path.
Senior People Management
Mayday ensures that vulnerable people are given the best assistance, help and support necessary.
Our management team enable staff (via training) to recognise abuse or poor practice and how to respond appropriately, we recognise as an organisation that vulnerable adults can be abused and that this should be acknowledged and protection should be sought for them. We also recognise that staff may wrongly be accused of abuse and in this instance we will provide the help and support needed for that staff member to continue their role within our organisation without prejudices.
Local Community Economy
By way of siting an office within our geographical areas means utilisation of an existing vacant property plus capability for local suppliers to provide service and maintenance, this combined with recruitment of local staff and the ensuing financial benefits those wages have in the local economy helps Mayday support the local economy and benefits the community.
